Do I need to have a
broker before I take the real estate course?
No, you can take the real estate course and take the state exam without
a broker. You will need a broker or owner employer to activate your
license if you want to receive compensation for a real estate service.
Can you
guarantee me that I will pass your exam or the state test?
No, it is against Florida law to guarantee that you will either pass the
state exam or any pre license or post license exam involving real
estate. It is also against Florida law to advertise pass fail
statistics. Your best source of information on the success of real
estate instruction is to ask students who have passed the course and
state exam. Quotes are available on my Home Page and I'd be glad to give
you additional testimonials.
Are
brokers looking for salespeople?
That depends on the brokerage firm, I would call a few brokers or owner
employers and ask them if they are hiring salepeople. You can also check
the classified advertisements under Sales Opportunites in local
newspapers.
Do I need
to know how to use a computer before I take your course or the state
exam?
No, although computers are used extensively in the real estate business
most brokerage firms will provide training in this area after you
receive your license. The state exam is given on computer, but it is a
touch screen computer that requires no computer knowledge.
Do I have
to activate my license with a broker after I pass the state exam?
No, although you will
need to activate your license if you want to receive compensation for a
real estate service. You will need to complete a 45 hour post
license course in your initial license period. Additional information
about this requirement is on my web page titled Information about
obtaining a Florida Real Estate Salesperson's License.
